Picasa web album review
When Picasa appeared a few years ago, it quickly won attention among the photography fans. As Picasa upgraded all along, there are still many people haven't known clearly what after it can make with photos. So this Picasa review will be focused on this point. On the other hand, I will write down the tutorial of how to upload Picasa web album on blog, MySpace or website.
Part 1: What can we make with Picasa web album
Free photo storage space:
Visit Picasa web album Home page, and set up a Picasa web album by your Gmail account. Then you can upload digital photos on web for sharing with more people. Install Picasa software is another way to upload your local photos to web.
Set Properties and edit info. for your web album:
After you uploaded your photos, click on the thumbnail and enter the page below. Here you can set Album properties, such as visit authority, and edit other info. like: album tag, add Captions, select Album cover, etc.
Make photo collage or movies with your uploaded photos:
If you have installed the Picasa software, then you can click the "Download" Tab to make collage or movie with your photos. If you haven't installed the software, these functions are invalid.
Create flash photo slideshow:
Click "Slideshow" Tab to preview the flash photo slideshow made by Picasa. You can control the slideshow by previous and next button. In addition , set the playing duration for each photos is available by click the "+" or "-" icons.
Part 2: Embed Picasa web album and Picasa flash slideshow on website
Embed Picasa web album on website:
Click "Link to this album" build-in button and copy the HTML code in red line rounded box. Then paste it in your web code between <body> and </body> tags. It will display like below thumbnail:
Embed Picasa flash slideshow on blog, MySpace or website:
Click "Embed Slideshow" build-in button in the right and it will show a pop up window like below thumbnail. You can set the slideshow size, hyperlink and captions in this window. Then copy the HTML code in the second box and paste it on your website, MySpace blog post or Blog's post.
